What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable biostimulant made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Rather than adding volume with gel, it stimulates your body to produce its own natural collagen. The result is organic, gradual, and long-lasting rejuvenation in alignment with your natural-born features.
When will I see transformation?
Some swelling may give a temporary “preview” of your refreshed look, but true transformation typically appears slowly over 4-12 weeks as collagen develops naturally. Our clients can expect to see ongoing improvements for several months after their series of customized treatments.
Is Sculptra safe?
Yes, Sculptra is both FDA- and Health Canada-approved and has been safely used for over 20 years. Side effects are rare and typically mild, such as swelling or small lumps that resolve with proper aftercare and massage. At Natology, we always provide you with detailed pre- and post-treatment guidance to keep your mind at ease and to ensure you feel supported during this process.
How many treatments will I need?
Most of our clients require 2-3 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, depending on the amount of volume reduction achieved and your desired look. Our experts will recommend a personalized plan at your consultation, taking all details and desires into consideration for your skin journey.
Can I combine Sculptra with other treatments?
Yes! Sculptra pairs beautifully with our other treatments like Dysport®, microneedling, laser, or facials. It’s often part of a graceful aging plan that addresses both structure and surface.
How is Sculptra different from dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers offer immediate visible transformation by adding volume with hyaluronic acid injections. Sculptra, in contrast, rebuilds lost collagen gradually over time, offering longer-lasting results and a more natural look. Think of it as a slow reveal, refined, lifted, and all yours.
How long does this treatment last?
This transformation can typically last up to 2 years with a full customized skin journey plan. Many of our clients return for maintenance sessions every 12-24 months to ensure their glow remains vibrant.

Is there downtime after treatment?
Minimal downtime is typically expected with Natology clients. Most individuals return to their normal routines shortly after; however, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness for a few days post-treatment. We recommend following the 5-5-5 massage rule (5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days) as this will help with circulation as the treatment sets in.
