Before you visit FAQs
What should I expect during my first visit?
Expect a warm welcome, a calm and luxurious space, and a team that genuinely cares. We’ll review your skin’s history, discuss your goals, and begin with a treatment or consultation designed to get you glowing from the inside out.
How do I prepare for my appointment (facial, laser, etc.)?
We’ll send you a prep guide when you schedule an appointment, but generally we ask that you arrive with clean skin, avoid strong active ingredients (like retinol) for a few days before, and stay away from excessive sun exposure or self-tanner. If you’re ever unsure, simply ask us. We’ve got you.
How do I book an appointment?
You can easily book online through our website or give us a call during business hours. If you’re not sure what to book, feel free to reach out – we’re always happy to help you choose the right service.
What treatment is best for my skin type or concern?
Everyone’s skin is unique – so we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We recommend starting with a consultation or a First Time Facial, which includes a consultation where we assess your skin, talk through your goals, and curate treatment that is most suitable for you – all in the same visit.
What’s the difference between a Corrective Facial and a regular facial?
Our Corrective Facials are results-driven and fully customized. They’re designed to target specific concerns like acne, pigmentation, or aging with medical-grade skincare and advanced techniques. You’ll still get the relaxation, but with a stronger focus on transformation.
Do you treat acne, pigmentation, or aging skin holistically?
Yes! We believe skin health is an inside-and-out journey. Our approach combines advanced treatments, medical-grade skincare, and supportive lifestyle guidance like nutrition, supplementation, and stress management to address the root causes of your concerns.
Can I combine treatments, like laser and peels?
Yes, many of our treatments work beautifully together. Combination plans are often the most effective way to see long-term change. Your practitioner will guide you on safe and strategic pairings based on your skin and schedule.
Are your treatments safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Yes! Many of our treatments can be modified for pregnancy and nursing. We always prioritize safety and will work with you to create a plan that supports both your skin goals and this special stage of life.
How soon will I see results from my treatments?
You may notice improvements right away, especially in hydration and glow. For deeper concerns like acne, pigmentation, or texture, results build over time. Most clients see a noticeable change within 4–8 weeks with consistency.
Is there any downtime after your treatments?
Most of our treatments are designed with little to no downtime, but this depends on the service. We’ll always let you know what to expect before we begin, and provide clear post-care instructions to support your results.
How soon will I see results from my treatments?
Results vary depending on the treatment, your skin type, and your unique goals. Some treatments deliver an instant glow, while others work gradually to stimulate natural renewal over time. During your consultation, we’ll outline what you can expect both immediately and in the weeks following your visit.
Do you treat teenage acne?
Absolutely! We love supporting teens and their families through the challenges of acne. Our approach is gentle, educational, and effective, with a focus on long-term skin health, not just a temporary fix.
What skincare products do you recommend?
We carry carefully curated medical-grade skincare lines that we’ve handpicked for results and skin safety. Your skin expert will recommend products based on your unique skin needs – with no overwhelm, just simply what works.
Do you have a cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Yes, we kindly ask for 48 hours’ notice for any changes or cancellations. This helps us respect our team’s time and allows other clients the opportunity to book in.
*Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
What facial should I begin with?
We recommend beginning with the level you feel comfortable with, but if you’re ready to dive right in, Level 3 is our most results-driven and most loved. We’ll always tailor the treatment to your skin’s unique needs and requirements. If you’re unsure which facial to book, select our First Time Facial. This appointment includes a full consultation and the flexibility to experience the most suitable treatment from our menu – all in the same visit.
How often should I come in for a facial?
This depends on your skin type and goals. Skin thrives with consistency. For most of our patients who are eager to see transformation, we recommend coming in every two weeks until we reach your goal, and then transition into maintenance treatments every 4-6 weeks to maintain care, support cell turnover, and keep your skin feeling lush. Some treatments, like acne facials or pigmentation journeys, may require more frequent visits initially as your skin adapts to treatment. Your skin journey is unique.
What is LED light therapy?
It sounds very sciency, but it is really rooted in nature’s ability to revitalize organisms. LED Light therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits.
In the same way that plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into energy, high-intensity light-emitting diodes (LEDs) utilizing specific, proven wavelengths of light can trigger a natural biostimulatory effect in human tissue.
Research has shown that LED light therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, decrease under-eye wrinkles and ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasms, and pain associated with arthritis.
The treatment is non-invasive, painless, requires no recovery time, and can be used safely on all skin types.
What can I expect during a facial?
Your skin will be deeply cleansed, exfoliated, treated, and nourished – without being rushed or overstimulated. We create a fully customized experience that combines clinical technology with a soothing experience, so that you can relax and your skin can enjoy and recover with ease.
Will I break out after a facial?
Because every skin type is unique, some clients may experience a brief period of purging after deep cleansing and extractions – a natural part of the skin’s detox process. This can also be influenced by internal factors, as the skin is the body’s largest organ and often reflects what’s happening within. That said, most of our clients leave with a radiant glow and notice clearer, more balanced skin over time.
How do I know whether I’ll need a microdermabrasion or a peel with my Level 3 Facial?
We assess your skin at every visit. Based on your current skin condition and goals, we’ll select either a microdermabrasion or a resurfacing peel – or sometimes combine both in a safe and effective way that your skin will love.
What is high frequency?
High-frequency therapy uses a specially designed glass electrode filled with either neon or argon gas, which gently glides over the skin. As a mild electrical current passes through, it produces a soft glow and a gentle buzzing sensation.
This current generates enriched oxygen molecules, creating a natural antibacterial effect and a subtle warming of the skin’s tissues. This helps flush out toxins, boosts circulation, and nourishes the skin cells with oxygen and hydration. The result? A revitalizing glow, increased collagen and elastin production, and a noticeable softness after just one session.
High frequency is known for its wide range of benefits, including reducing acne and breakouts, minimizing enlarged pores, softening fine lines and wrinkles, de-puffing tired eyes, brightening dark circles, improving the appearance of cellulite, and even helping stimulate thinning hair in some cases.
Is there any downtime?
Most facials have no downtime – you can return to your day glowing. Some treatments may leave skin slightly pink or sensitive for a few hours, but we’ll always let you know what to expect and how to care for your skin post-treatment.
How should I prepare prior to receiving my treatment?
No need to worry about coming in with a clean face – that’s what you’re coming to us for; however, we do ask that you:
Avoid excessive sun exposure for 48 hours prior to your facial.
Avoid exfoliating and waxing for 48 hours before their facial.
Avoid using retinol/retinoids 10 days prior to receiving any facial treatment.
Arrive with clean skin, and bring your current skincare list so we can make the best recommendations for you.
Are facials safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Of course – we love our mama clients, and many of our treatments are pregnancy-safe! All LEVEL 1-3 FACIALS, DERMALINFUSIONS, DERMAPLANING, and the CONTOURING BUCCAL MASSAGE facials can be modified to be pregnancy-safe. Just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll adjust everything to be gentle, safe, and effective for you and your baby.
How soon will I notice a difference in my skin?
Most clients notice an immediate glow and smoother surface. Long-term concerns like acne, pigmentation, and texture improve with consistent in-clinic and at-home attention, so some treatments may take a little extra tender love and care – and patience.
Is there anything I need to avoid during a facial?
This depends on the level of facial you’ve received and it is best to discuss this with your Natology expert; however some of the main things to avoid would be direct sun exposure, excessive touching of the face so not to transfer any oils or bacteria that could be picked up from your hands, and using active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, tea tree, strong Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA’s) oralpha hydroxy acids (BHA’s) – often found in skincare products – skinfor 24-48 hours post treatment.
What exactly is a chemical peel?
Despite the name, chemical peels are often made from naturally derived ingredients like fruit acids, sugar cane, enzymes, or milk. These professional exfoliating treatments gently encourage cell turnover by targeting the skin’s outermost layers – revealing smoother texture, improved tone, and a radiant complexion.
What skin concerns can a chemical peel help with?
Chemical peels can be customized to address a variety of skin goals, including:
• Acne and post-acne scarring
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Melasma and pigmentation
• Sun damage
• Uneven skin tone
• Dull or rough texture
• Mild skin laxity
Will my skin actually peel?
Not always. “Peel” simply refers to the skins exfoliation process. Many of our medical-grade peels are designed to be no-downtime, meaning you may not visibly peel at all; however, some deeper or layered peels (like our Glow Peel) can cause light to moderate peeling or flaking. We’ll always let you know what to expect in advance so you can feel informed and relaxed.
How many treatments will I need?
Most clients see the best results with a series of treatments. Think of peels as a way to train your skin over time – gradual, consistent exfoliation supports long-term rejuvenation without shocking the skin. Your Natology skin care specialist will recommend a plan that suits your unique skin goals and lifestyle.
Are chemical peels safe for sensitive skin?
Yes – when done properly and tailored to your skin requirements. We customize every peel based on your skin’s current condition and tolerance. Many clients with sensitive skin benefit from gentler enzyme or lactic acid-based peels, which offer glow-enhancing results without irritation.
How do I know which peel is right for me?
No need to stress about selecting the perfect one – we’ve got you covered. Every appointment begins with a thorough consultation and skin analysis to determine the most effective peel for your skin at that moment. We adapt each treatment to your evolving skin needs to ensure you’re receiving the best quality care and attention.
Can I wear makeup after my peel?
For lighter peels, makeup can usually be applied the following day. If you’ve had a deeper resurfacing peel (like the Perfect Derma Peel), we recommend giving your skin a few days of breathing room. Your Natology skin specialist will provide you with tailored post-care instructions as well, so you can rest easy knowing we’re with you every step of the way.
What areas can be treated with chemical peels?
While the face is most common among our clients, peels can also be applied to the neck, chest, back, shoulders, and hands – anywhere skin could use some tender love and care.
Is there downtime after a peel?
We’ve intentionally designed most of our peels are designed to have little to no downtime. If visible peeling does occur, it typically lasts a few days and is easily managed with soothing aftercare and gentle hydration. We’ll always discuss what to expect post-treatment so you feel not only beautiful, but confident, informed and prepared.
Do chemical peels hurt?
Everyone’s experience is different, but you may feel a light tingling or warming sensation during the treatment – this is completely normal and only lasts a few minutes. We always prioritize your comfort and can tailor the experience to be as relaxing or intensive as needed.
How should I prep before my appointment?
We ask our clients to avoid exfoliating products, waxing, or intense sun exposure for at least 5–7 days prior to your peel. If you’re using active skincare (like retinol or acids), we may advise you to pause them temporarily. Detailed pre-care guidelines will also be provided when you schedule your appointment.
What kind of results can I expect?
After just one peel, skin often looks brighter, smoother, and more refreshed. With ongoing treatments, most clients notice a visible reduction in breakouts, fine lines, sun damage, and uneven tone. Think of it as an investment in your skin’s long-term health and glow.
Is microneedling suitable for all skin types?
Yes, the eDermastamp microneedling treatment and instruments we use at Natology are safe to use on all skin types.
How long is the downtime?
You may experience some mild redness post-treatment, and the sensitivity may last up to 1-3 days. Most clients return to their regular activities and routines within 48 hours or so, though we do recommend leaving your face makeup-free and avoiding excessive sweating for up to 2 days post-treatment.
Can I combine treatments?
Yes, Microneedling + Mesotherapy can be a powerful pairing that enhances your texture and skin tone – all within a single session.
When will I see results?
Typically, our clients start noticing transformation on their skin journey with microneedling unfold over the course of 4-6 weeks as the collagen rebuilds from within.
What is RF Microneedling (Fractora)?
RF Microneedling combines two powerful technologies – ultra-fine microneedles and radiofrequency energy – to gently resurface your skin, boost collagen production, and reveal a smoother, firmer, more radiant complexion overall. It’s one of the most advanced treatments available for improving skin texture, tone, and overall rejuvenation, and we’re happy to provide it to our clients.
What areas can be treated with Microneeding/RF Microneedling?
Microneedling is most commonly used on the face; however, it can also be performed on the chest, neck, and upper back area – anywhere skin requires a little extra love.
How many sessions will I need?
Many of our clients experience a fresh glow right away; however, the magic really starts to appear around the 2-3 week mark. Within that time frame is when collagen regenerates – revealing smoother and renewed skin.
Can RF Microneedling be combined with other treatment options?
Absolutely. RF Microneedling works beautifully alongside other services such as injectables, facials, or additional Natology treatments. Your skin specialist will guide you through a customized treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.
Does Microneedling hurt?
We prioritize your comfort at every step. A numbing cream is applied before the treatment to ensure a virtually painless experience. Most clients describe it as a warm, slightly prickly sensation.
What does Microneedling aftercare look like?
Your Natology expert will give you easy-to-follow aftercare instructions to help you protect your glow as your skin heals and rejuvenates post-treatment.
What is LUMECCA?
Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable yet leading-edge light treatment.
What are the benefits of Photo–Rejuvenation therapy?
Typically, our clients see an improvement in their skin within 1-3 sessions, where Lumecca improves the appearance of:
- Age Spots (red/brown pigmentations)
- Vascular Lesions Such As Facial telangiectasias (spider veins) and poikiloderma
- Rosacea (redness)
- Freckles
- Sun Damage
What areas can be treated?
Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body! The most common areas of treatment tend to be zones that are regularly exposed to the sun, like the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands, and arms.
What steps must be taken before the procedure?
We recommend avoiding direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning one month prior to treatment.
What should I expect during and after my Lumecca treatment?
During treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from Lumecca, and a sensation on your skin that feels like a light snap from an elastic band. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are completely normal after treatment and typically subside within an hour or so. Over the next 24-48 hours, you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week post-treatment, the pigmented lesions will flake off, leading to a more skin tone. After treating these vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a simple colour change in the vessel, which can dissipate after a few days.
How many sessions are recommended?
Many of our clients see improvement of skin appearance after the very first session. With multiple sessions, you can see even better results over time. Your treatment plan depends on the severity of skin damage, your skin type, the type of treatment (vascular vs. sun damage), and the energy settings – which we always walk you through, ensuring you’re comfortable and informed along the way.
How quickly will I see results?
Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the very first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time, with the most visible results appearing after 1-2 weeks. Having a customized skin journey plan in place for your photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatments such as facial telangiectasias, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.
Are there any side effects?
Most of our clients do not experience any side effects, and any skin reaction usually resolves within a few hours. Our clients sometimes find they are sensitive to sunlight immediately after treatment, which is why we recommend avoiding direct sunlight and tanning before and after treatment – to ensure your skin remains healthy and comfortable.
What is laser resurfacing?
Laser resurfacing is a skin renewal treatment that uses precise light energy to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This process activates your body’s natural healing response – stimulating collagen and elastin to restore a smoother, firmer, and more radiant complexion over time.
What concerns can laser resurfacing treat?
Laser resurfacing is ideal for those seeking visible transformation in:
- Deep lines and wrinkles
- Enlarged pores
- Acne scarring
- Pigmentation and sun damage
- Redness and rosacea
- Dullness or rough texture
- Uneven tone and laxity
Your treatment will always be customized to your skin’s needs and your goals.
What’s the difference between ablative and non-ablative lasers?
Ablative lasers gently remove the outermost layer of skin (epidermis), delivering more dramatic resurfacing for concerns like deeper wrinkles, scarring, or texture. Non-ablative lasers, on the other hand, heat the deeper layers without disrupting the surface – offering a more gradual rejuvenation with little to no downtime. At Natology, we offer both options and will guide you every step of the way based on your skin type, areas of concern, and recovery preference – because all skin journeys are unique.
What is the downtime after laser resurfacing?
Downtime varies depending on the depth of treatment:
- Micro Laser Peel: Some clients may experience 2–3 days of light redness and flaking.
- Custom Laser Resurfacing (Deep Frac + Micro): You may experience 5–7 days of peeling, pinkness, or swelling.
- Redness and tightness are normal post-treatment and signal that the healing process is underway. We’ll always provide you with full aftercare support to help your skin recover beautifully.
Does laser resurfacing hurt?
Not at all. A topical numbing cream is applied before your treatment to ensure your comfort. Most Natology clients describe the sensation as warmth or tingling, followed by a sunburn-like feeling afterward. Your peace and comfort are our top priority – we’ll be with you every step of the way.
How many treatments will I need?
While visible transformation can often appear after just one session, we typically recommend a series of three treatments spaced several weeks apart to achieve optimal collagen remodelling and long-term skin improvement. More severe scarring or deeper skin concerns may require additional sessions, which we’ll discuss during your consultation.
Can laser resurfacing be combined with other treatments?
Yes, beautifully so. Many of our clients pair laser resurfacing with microneedling, PRP/PRF, facials, or even mesotherapy for an amplified skin transformation. We’ll create a treatment plan that respects your skin’s healing rhythm while enhancing your overall unique glow.
Is laser resurfacing safe for all skin tones?
While some laser modalities are better suited for lighter skin tones, we evaluate each client individually and with great care and detail. At Natology, your skin’s safety and integrity always come first. During your consultation, we’ll determine if laser resurfacing is a suitable option for your unique tone and texture or if another treatment is a better fit.
What’s the difference between a Micro Laser Peel and Deep Fractional Resurfacing?
- Micro Laser Peel is a non-ablative option that gently refreshes the skin’s surface – perfect for those looking to brighten tone, soften fine lines, and reduce mild pigment.
- Custom Laser Resurfacing (Deep Fractional + Micro) is ablative and penetrates deeper, targeting acne scars, laxity, and deeper wrinkles with more visible transformation after a series of treatments.
Both are powerful treatments – your Natology skin expert will guide you every step of the way and help identify the best choice for your skin journey.
Can laser resurfacing help with redness or rosacea?
Absolutely. Our non-ablative laser settings can effectively reduce redness and calm vascular activity, making them a beautiful option for rosacea-prone or sensitive skin. Over time, you’ll notice a more even-toned, soothed complexion ready to take on the day.
What is laser scar revision like?
Laser scar revision is a customized and highly focused treatment designed to soften the appearance of raised, textured, or pigmented scars. By resurfacing the scar tissue and stimulating natural collagen renewal, we can dramatically improve skin smoothness and tone over time. It’s a safe, effective, and non-surgical treatment.
How should I prepare for my laser resurfacing treatment?
Here are a few key steps to prepare:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks pre-treatment.
- Discontinue any retinoids or active skincare 5–7 days prior.
- Let us know if you’re prone to cold sores – we’ll provide antiviral support.
- Avoid alcohol, Advil, and Aspirin 48–72 hours before your visit.
- Hydrate well – inside and out. Moisturized skin responds beautifully to treatment and improves the healing process greatly.
And don’t worry, we’ll always provide you with detailed pre- and post-care instructions tailored to your treatment depth.
What is Fotona Skin Tightening?
Fotona Skin Tightening is a non-invasive laser treatment that uses gentle, controlled heat to awaken your skin’s natural collagen production. Without needles or downtime, it helps smooth fine lines, lift sagging skin, and enhance elasticity – revealing a firmer, more radiant complexion over time.
How does the treatment feel?
Clients often describe the sensation as deeply soothing – similar to basking in warm sunlight or enjoying a hot stone massage. It’s warm, relaxing, and designed to be a comfortable, calming experience.
Is there any downtime?
There’s little to no downtime. You may notice a touch of redness or warmth after your session, which typically fades within a few hours. Most clients return to their usual routine the same day.
When will I see results?
Some clients notice subtle lifting and smoothness after their first treatment; however, because collagen builds gradually, the most visible improvements appear after a series of 3-4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Your skin continues to improve long after the treatment ends.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Yes. Fotona’s advanced technology is safe and effective for most skin tones and types. Before treatment, your skin will be thoroughly assessed to ensure the most appropriate and personalized approach.
What is SmoothLiftin™, and how is it different?
SmoothLiftin is a signature intraoral laser treatment performed inside the mouth. It targets volume loss and skin laxity from within, triggering collagen where traditional lasers can’t reach. The result is a natural, filler-like plumping and lift – without injections or downtime.
Will I need multiple sessions?
Yes. For best results, we typically recommend 3-4 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments once or twice a year help support ongoing collagen renewal and keep your skin looking lifted and luminous.
Can I wear makeup after treatment?
In most cases, yes. Light mineral makeup can often be worn the same day or the next. We’ll guide you based on how your skin responds and what will support optimal healing along your skin journey.
Can this be combined with other treatments?
Absolutely. Skin tightening pairs beautifully with microneedling, facials, or even injectables for a more detailed transformation. Your Natology expert will design a custom plan that meets your skin’s unique needs and goals.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please arrive with clean skin, free of makeup or heavy products. Avoid active skincare like retinols or exfoliants for at least 48 hours prior, and limit sun exposure leading up to your treatment. Afterward, sunscreen is a must to protect your glow.
What is the Fotona Non-Invasive Facelift?
It’s a multi-step laser treatment that addresses volume loss, laxity, wrinkles, and surface imperfections using two advanced laser wavelengths – without surgery or injections.
What’s the difference between 3D and 4D?
The 3D facelift uses a combination of laser modes to treat multiple layers of the skin, smoothing, firming, and refining tone. The 4D facelift builds on this by adding an intraoral step (inside the mouth) – gently heating the tissue from within to naturally lift, plump, and sculpt for a more youthful, toned appearance.
How does the treatment feel?
Most clients experience a warm, tingling sensation, with moments of deeper heat that pass quickly. No numbing is required with this treatment, and the experience is often described as relaxing and soothing.
How quickly will I see results?
You may notice a soft lift and increased radiance within a few days; however, because collagen builds over time, the most noticeable transformation can be noticed after 2–3 months and continues to improve for up to 4 months post-treatment.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal. You may have mild redness or puffiness for a few hours. Most clients return to daily activities the same day.
Can this replace a surgical facelift?
While not a replacement for surgery, Fotona’s non-invasive facelift offers a powerful transformation for those looking to lift, firm, and refresh the face without experiencing more invasive procedures. It’s ideal for early to moderate signs of aging.
How many sessions will I need?
Each skin journey is unique; however, a series of 3-4 treatments is common with proper rest and recovery time between each session. Our Natology skin experts will help curate a detailed plan specific to your skin type and goals.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Yes. Fotona’s laser system is highly customizable and safe for most skin types. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin to ensure the treatment is tailored and safe for you.
Can I combine this with other treatments?
Absolutely. Many clients combine their 3D or 4D facelift with PRP, microneedling, or skin tightening for an even more lifted and luminous transformation, which we can discuss in a more detailed fashion during your appointment.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid strong active ingredients (like retinoids or AHAs) for 2–3 days beforehand and limit sun exposure. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. We’ll guide you through every step of pre- and post-care to maximize your skin health and overall glow.
What are Corrective Laser Treatments?
Natology’s Corrective Laser Treatments use advanced laser technology to address a range of skin and wellness concerns – from acne and rosacea to spider veins and hair loss. Each treatment delivers precise energy to stimulate natural healing processes beneath the skin’s surface, all without surgery or harsh chemicals.
How do lasers treat acne?
Our Fotona laser gently targets overactive sebaceous glands, helping to reduce oil production and calm inflammation. The heat also encourages faster healing and collagen renewal, helping to smooth acne scars and improve skin texture over time. With a series of treatments, breakouts become less frequent and the skin becomes more balanced.
Can laser therapy really help with rosacea?
Absolutely. For rosacea, we use Fotona’s Nd:YAG laser with a specialized setting that carefully targets visible blood vessels. The laser energy causes these vessels to shrink, softening redness and calming inflammation – without damaging the surrounding skin. It’s a soothing yet powerful treatment for restoring a more even, composed complexion.
What is NightLase® and how does it work?
NightLase® is a gentle, non-invasive laser treatment designed to reduce snoring by tightening the soft tissues in the back of the throat. The thermal energy tones and firms the airway, improving airflow and sleep quality. It’s a comfortable, surgery-free solution performed in simple, short sessions with no downtime.
Can laser treatments really stimulate hair growth?
Yes. Our HAIRestart® treatment uses controlled bulk heating to reawaken dormant hair follicles. The laser improves scalp circulation, boosts cellular turnover, and encourages healthy regrowth. Over time, this helps reduce shedding, increase thickness, and prevent further hair loss – no needles or medications required.
How do lasers treat vascular lesions and facial veins?
Laser light is absorbed by the blood inside the visible vessels, creating gentle heat that causes the walls of the vein to collapse. The body naturally clears away the treated vessel, leaving the surrounding skin untouched. The result is clearer skin with reduced redness and a more refined and calm skin tone.
What’s the difference between facial veins and spider veins?
Facial veins typically appear as visible red or purple lines around the nose, cheeks, or chin. Spider veins are often found on the legs or body, appearing as small, branching webs. Both are treated with similar laser techniques, but we tailor the energy, depth, and location of treatment to suit each concern specific to your skin type.
Does the treatment hurt?
Each experience is different based on your personal skin journey; however, most of our clients describe the sensation as a gentle warmth or mild snap – similar to a quick flick of an elastic band. Some treatments feel like lying in the sun or experiencing a warm massage. We always prioritize your comfort and can adjust intensity as needed.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your unique skin journey. Many clients notice visible improvement after just one session, but optimal results are typically seen with a series of treatments – often 3 to 6, spaced a few weeks apart. During your consultation, we’ll recommend a customized plan based on your skin’s specific needs.
Is there any downtime?
Minimal. You may experience slight redness or warmth immediately after your session, but it usually fades within a few hours. Most clients return to their daily routines the same day, so you can resume your daily life with ease.
Are these treatments safe for all skin types?
Many of our laser treatments, especially those using Fotona’s advanced technology, are safe for a wide range of skin tones and sensitivities. We always assess your skin during consultation to ensure this is the most aligned treatment for your skin and then customize the safest, most effective approach for you.
How should I prepare before my appointment?
We recommend avoiding sun exposure, tanning, and active skincare (like retinol or acids) for at least a week prior. Come to your appointment with clean, makeup-free skin. We’ll provide full pre- and post-care instructions and guide you through it all to help you get the most out of your treatment.
How does the laser actually reduce fat?
Our advanced laser treatment works by gently warming the deeper layers beneath your skin – specifically where fat cells live. With precision and care, this heat disrupts the structure of those fat cells, prompting your body to naturally clear them away over time. It’s a science-backed, non-invasive way to support your body’s natural contouring process – no needles, no downtime, just a smoother silhouette over time.
What will the treatment feel like?
Most of our clients describe the sensation as soothing warmth – similar to a hot stone massage. You’ll feel the area gently heat up as the laser works beneath the surface. It’s a layered process, and while certain moments may feel warmer, the experience remains comfortable and deeply relaxing. Afterward, your skin may feel warm to the touch and appear slightly flushed, but this will fade as the day progresses.
What can I expect after my session?
After your customized treatment, you might notice mild redness or a hint of swelling in the area – both are completely normal and temporary. Most clients return to their day right away. Your body will begin its natural clearing process in the days and weeks ahead, and we’ll guide you through what to expect every step of the way.
Where does the fat actually go?
Think of it this way: once the fat cells are disrupted by the laser’s gentle heat, your body recognizes that they’re no longer needed. Over time, it clears them away through your lymphatic system – just like it would with any cellular waste. It’s a quiet, behind-the-scenes transformation you’ll begin to notice gradually as your shape becomes more refined over time.
When will I start seeing real transformation?
Many clients feel a difference after just one session – a bit more lifted, a little more contoured. But the true magic happens gradually. Over the weeks that follow, your body continues to process the treated fat cells, revealing smoother, firmer contours. For the most transformative results, we usually recommend a personalized series of sessions based on your goals.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Many clients combine TightSculpting® with our other facial treatments or other body therapies for a more rooted and holistic transformational skin journey.
Does it help with cellulite?
TightSculpting® can improve the appearance of mild cellulite by firming the skin and smoothing the underlying tissue.
How should I prepare for my session?
We recommend that our clients avoid sun exposure and tanning before treatment. Stay hydrated, treat yourself with care and wear comfortable clothing. Post-treatment, you can follow our personalized aftercare guidance from our Natology team.
How does it work?
The TightSculpting® laser settings gently heat and shrink fat cells and stimulate collagen production to firm and tighten the skin, enhancing both volume reduction and skin quality.
Who is a good candidate?

What is DiolazeXL?
DiolazeXL is a next-generation laser hair removal treatment that combines high power with a gentle touch. It safely and effectively reduces unwanted hair by targeting the follicle deep below the skin – all while delivering a more comfortable experience thanks to the built-in skin cooling surface.
How does it work?
The DiolazeXL system uses a precise diode laser beam that passes through the skin to heat the hair root. This controlled warmth disables the follicle’s ability to regrow, leaving your skin smoother with each session – and preventing future growth where it’s no longer desired.
Does it hurt?
Your safety and comfort are a priority here at Natology. The DiolazeXL laser is equipped with one of the largest built-in cooling surfaces available, which keeps the skin calm during treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as a light snap or warm flick – far gentler than waxing or traditional laser systems.
Why are multiple sessions required?
Our bodies’ regenerative abilities are quite amazing and resilient, and our hair grows in cycles. Laser treatments are most effective when hair is in its active growth phase. Because not all hair is in the same stage at once, a series of treatments ensures each follicle is effectively targeted at the right time for long-lasting smoothness.
How many sessions will I need?
While each client is beautifully unique along with their skin journey, most of our clients see noticeable transformation after 4 to 6 sessions. The total number of treatments may vary based on hair colour, texture, skin tone, and the area being treated – all of which we discuss during your consultation.
Which areas can be treated?
From delicate areas like the upper lip or bikini line to larger zones like the back, chest, or legs, DiolazeXL is safe for virtually every part of the body. If you have hair you’d rather not manage daily, we’ve got you covered.
Is laser hair removal safe for all skin types?
Yes. Our leading-edge technology is designed to be safe and effective for a wide range of skin tones. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin and hair to tailor the treatment to you and your skin journey.
Will I need downtime after my appointment?
Not at all. You can resume your day right away. You might notice a little redness or warmth in the area – similar to a mild sun-kissed glow – but it can fade quickly after your treatment. We will guide you with aftercare instructions to ensure your skin remains happy post-treatment.
What should I do before my treatment?
We recommend shaving the treatment area 24 hours beforehand. This allows for the laser to easily access the hair follicle beneath the skin for effective removal. We do ask that you avoid waxing, plucking, or excessive sun exposure in the days leading up to your session. We’ll provide you with full pre-treatment guidance when you come in for your consultation.
Is it painful?
Most of our clients describe the sensation as a quick snap or a warm flick against the skin. It’s generally well tolerated – and far gentler than waxing. We’re here to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process.
Can I shave between treatments?
Absolutely. In fact, shaving is encouraged between sessions if needed. Simply avoid waxing or tweezing, as they remove the follicle itself, which is what the laser needs to target for best results when you return for your next session.
How should I prepare for my session?
We recommend that all of our clients prepare at least 3-5 days prior and avoid all substances that may thin the blood and increase the chance of bruising, like Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, and Alcohol.
We also ask that our clients avoid natural substances, like: Gingko, Garlic, Vitamin E, Fish oil, St. John’s Wort, Flaxseed Oils, etc. Let your practitioner know if you are on any prescribed medications or anticoagulants (like warfarin, coumadin). Never stop taking your prescribed medications before talking to your doctor.
Choose the right injector for your skin journey – we can help you with that. We’ll pair you up with the right expert at Natology who knows exactly how to curate your experience to fit your skin journey goals.
Will I still look like myself?
Yes! With our curated and holistic approach to all of our treatments, we ensure that each session is subtle and customized. The goal is always to refresh – not freeze – so you’ll still look like you, just a little more well-rested and renewed.
How does it work?
Neuromodulator injections, such as Botox®, gently relax specific facial muscles by reducing the signals that tell them to contract. This helps soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially those caused by repeated facial expressions like smiling or frowning, so that you look naturally refreshed and have a smoother look, all without freezing your features and their functionality.
How long does it take to see a transformation?
Each client is unique in how their body responds; however, with neuromodulators like Botox®, the infected area may have subtle swelling or bruising, which is totally normal. Once the bruising has cleared and swelling has subsided, clients typically start seeing transformation within 3–5 days, with full results at around the 2-week mark.
How long does it last?
Every person is unique, and the outcome depends on the specific neuromodulator treatment we curate for you and the area you choose to focus on. However, most of our clients enjoy their aesthetic transformation for about 3-4 months, depending on the area treated and how their body responds. Touch-ups and follow-ups are always an option to ensure you’re happy and confident with your skin journey.
Does the treatment hurt?
Comfort and safety are our highest priority for our clients here at Natology. Most of our clients describe it as a tiny pinch. These sessions are quick (about 15–20 minutes), and discomfort is minimal as we can use a numbing agent if desired.
Is there any downtime after Botox® or Dysport®?
You will find that there is no major downtime required. You may have slight redness or swelling at the injection sites, and some clients may find they have minor bruising depending on the treated area, but it fades within a couple of days.
Can I wear makeup after my treatment?
We ask our clients to refrain from any strenuous activity and from applying makeup for at least 24 hours and to keep the area clean. We also recommend the use of Advil or Arnica if the bruising or swelling is more severe. But do not fret, we guide you through pre- and post-treatment care so that you’re confident and informed the entire way.
Are there any side effects?
Each client is different, and it depends on the area that is treated; however, there may be mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site, which is totally normal. More serious side effects are rare but will be discussed during your consultation to ensure you’re informed and confident in your curated skin journey plan.
Who is an ideal fit for neuromodulators?
Anyone 18+ in good health who wants to reduce fine lines, refine their features or prevent wrinkles. It’s also helpful for those experiencing excessive migraines. We also want to ensure that our clients know that this treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or live with certain neurological conditions.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
During your consultation, we will always provide you with a curated pre- and post-treatment care guide to ensure you’re confidently prepared for your session with us. We do ask that our clients avoid alcohol, blood thinners (like ibuprofen, aspirin), and certain supplements (like vitamin E, fish oil, garlic) for 3-5 days beforehand to reduce bruising.
What areas can it be used for?
These treatments are helpful in reducing the appearance of crows’ feet, glabellar (in between the eyebrows), frown lines, and/or downward lines around the mouth.
What is PRF, and how is it different from PRP?
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is the next generation of PRP. It’s 100% natural and free from anticoagulants, meaning it allows your body’s growth factors to release more slowly, leading to longer-lasting, more effective rejuvenation.
What areas can be treated with PRF?
At Natology, PRF is commonly used for under-eye hollows, full face rejuvenation (including deep acne scars), and hair restoration for aging or thinning hair.
Is PRF safe?
Absolutely! At Natology, your safety and comfort are our top priority. PRF treatments use your own blood, nothing synthetic or added, so there’s no risk of allergic reaction or rejection as it’s your own body healing itself, with a little holistic help and expert care, of course.
What does the treatment process involve?
This treatment is unique and leading-edge. A small amount of blood is drawn, spun in a special centrifuge (equipment that uses centrifugal force to separate substances of different densities), and then the PRF is reintroduced into the body via injection into targeted areas, to begin the self-healing process.
Does PRF treatment hurt?
Every person is unique; however, you may feel slight discomfort during the blood draw (as you would if you were donating blood) and mild tenderness at the area of injection. Most clients describe it as very tolerable, and our expert team is here to prioritize your safety and comfort throughout the entire treatment. During your consultation, we always provide our clients with explanations, pre- and post-treatment care instructions and guidance so you’re prepared, cared for and confident during your skin journey.
How should I prepare for my PRF appointment?
We recommend all our clients stay hydrated and avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning supplements (like vitamin E or garlic) for 24-48 hours prior. This helps ensure a smooth blood draw and an easier session. If you are on any medications, please let us know in your consultation, and we will curate this experience based on your doctor’s approval.
Is there any downtime?
Each of our beautiful clients is unique; however, most will typically resume normal activities right after their treatment. You may experience some swelling, tenderness, redness, or mild bruising at the injection site, which is totally normal and subsides within a few days.
What’s the post-care like for facial treatments?
We recommend our clients avoid wearing makeup and/or sweating for at least 24 hours, stay out of direct sun, and skip anti-inflammatories like Advil (these agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin’s healing process and rejuvenation). You can gently wash your face after 4 hours and resume your skincare routine in 48 hours.
What’s the post-care for hair restoration treatments?
Our clients can typically return to regular routines as they wish, with the exception of avoiding aspirin, Advil and alcohol post-treatment. It is common to experience some mild tenderness and, on occasion, some swelling; however, everyone is beautifully unique, as is their experience. You may shampoo the next day. We simply ask that you avoid colouring your hair for 3 days, skip direct sun exposure, and avoid smoking or alcohol for at least 3 days for the best healing to take place.
How many PRF sessions will I need?
Each person’s journey is different; however, we typically recommend a minimum of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions can be done every 6-12 months if required.
When will I see transformation?
Each skin and hair journey is unique to the individual; however, our clients’ visible transformation typically begins gradually, as the body responds to the natural growth factors. You may see improved skin tone or hair density within a few weeks, with ongoing improvements over time. The important thing to remember is patience. Your body is doing powerful healing; give it time.
Can I combine PRF with other treatments?
Absolutely! PRF pairs well with microneedling, laser treatments, dermal fillers and other skin therapies. Ask us during your consultation about the best combination for your unique skin journey, and we’ll happily curate a customized plan tailored to your skin and hair needs.
What is a cortisone injection, and how does it work for acne?
Cortisone is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication. When injected directly into a cystic acne lesion, it calms the inflammation, reduces swelling, and helps flatten the breakout within hours to days, signalling the body to send faster healing and prevent long-term scarring.
How quickly will I see transformation?
Most of our clients notice visible improvement within 24-72 hours. The treated area becomes less red, less painful, and significantly reduced in size, allowing for more efficient healing.
Does the injection hurt?
While the treatment is quick, some clients experience a brief pinch or sting, especially on already inflamed or sensitive areas. If needed, a local anesthetic can be applied beforehand to allow you to feel more comfortable.
Can I treat more than one cyst at a time?
Absolutely! We can treat multiple cysts during one session. The first lesion is $40.00, and each additional lesion is $20.00 in the same appointment. Just ask!
Is this treatment safe for all skin types?
Of course! Cortisone injections are safe for all skin tones, textures and types. We always assess your unique needs before treatment to ensure the best care for your unique skin.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Side effects are rare and typically temporary. The most common is a slight skin indentation at the injection site (called atrophy), which in some cases, resolves in a few months. Some may notice a small white spot in darker skin, but that also fades naturally as the skin returns to its healed state.
Will one treatment be enough?
Typically, one injection per cyst is enough. It’s designed as a one-time, targeted treatment for active flare-ups to promote natural healing.
Can cortisone injections help prevent scarring?
Yes. By reducing inflammation quickly with expert care and the right treatment, this injection can lower your risk of developing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and permanent scarring, allowing your skin to heal fully and smoothly over time.
How long does the appointment take?
The procedure itself takes just a few minutes. It’s a perfect lunchtime treatment with no downtime, so you can return to your day with ease.
When should I consider this treatment?
Cortisone injections are ideal for urgent flare-ups before events, travel, or photoshoots, or whenever you want fast, discreet relief from these painful breakouts.
Can I combine this with other acne treatments?
Absolutely! Cortisone injections can complement your existing skincare routine or your new or current Natology skin journey. We can guide you on how to integrate it gently and effectively, so the most aligned transformation for your skin.
Will it treat regular pimples or blackheads, too?
No, cortisone injections are reserved for deep, inflamed cysts or nodules. For surface-level acne, we’ll guide you toward more suitable options in our variety of acne-clearing services.
What is IV therapy, and how does it work?
IV therapy delivers fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream through a vein, bypassing the digestive system for a more streamlined and efficient absorption process.
How long does an IV drip appointment take?
Most IV sessions take between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the type of drip that’s aligned with your body’s unique individual needs.
Will I feel the effects immediately?
Many of our clients say they feel refreshed, energized, or more focused right away, while others notice benefits over the next 24–48 hours. It all depends on your unique health journey, metabolism and how your body absorbs nutrients.
Is IV therapy safe?
Yes! At Natology, our IV therapy treatments are administered by trained professionals and use high-quality, natural, holistic and medical-grade ingredients. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, always.
How often should I get an IV drip?
Each individual’s health journey is unique, so it depends on your personal health goals and your curated plan. Some clients come in weekly, others we see monthly. We’ll help you determine the best schedule for your specific needs.
Can I receive IV therapy if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend that you please consult with your healthcare provider before receiving this treatment. Some ingredients may not be recommended during pregnancy or lactation. We always want both mama and baby to remain healthy, safe and supported.
What are IM Wellness Shots, and how are they different from IV drips?
At Natology, our wellness boosters, or IM (intramuscular) shots, are injected into the muscle and are ideal for quick, targeted nutrient boosts. IV drips deliver a larger volume of nutrients via the vein over a longer session.
Do IV drips hurt?
Most of our clients feel only a small pinch during the needle insertion. Once the IV is in, the treatment is typically quite comfortable, and we always ensure you’re cozy and have everything you need to have a luxurious and relaxing experience as you soak up those much-needed nutrients.
Can I combine IV therapy with other wellness or aesthetic treatments?
Absolutely! At Natology, our IV therapy can complement many of our other treatments, like TightSculpting, facials, or laser services, to enhance your overall holistic transformation and recovery.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are typically rare but can include minor bruising at the injection area, temporary dizziness as the nutrients settle in within the body, or a cool sensation during infusion, which is why we ensure you’re comfortable and cozy during your session.
What should I do before my IV drip appointment?
Before every treatment at Natology, we provide you with a pre- and post-treatment care guide from our expert. It’s also important to stay hydrated, have a light snack beforehand, and wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your arm for the drip process.
Do I need a consultation before starting IV therapy?
While not always required, a brief consultation helps us customize your IV drip for your unique needs and ensure it’s safe and effective based on your health history.
What is naturopathic medicine, and how is it different from conventional care?
Naturopathic medicine blends modern science with traditional healing wisdom used for centuries to support the body’s innate ability to heal. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, we seek to uncover and treat the root cause of imbalances, using natural therapies, nutrition, remedies and lifestyle guidance.
Can lab tests help with skin issues like acne, eczema, or rosacea?
Absolutely. Skin is the largest organ on the body and is often a mirror for what’s happening internally. Through lab testing, we can uncover hidden triggers such as hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, gut challenges, or food sensitivities that may be contributing to skin flare-ups. With this insight, we can curate a personalized plan that nurtures skin health from the inside out.
What can I expect during my initial naturopathic consultation?
Your first visit is a 60-minute deep dive into your health story. We’ll explore your medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, emotional, physical and mental wellness, and more. Together, we’ll co-create a personalized plan grounded in your goals and the principles of naturopathic medicine.
What is Bowen Therapy, and how does it support healing?
Our muscles hold onto tension, stress and old wounding over time. Bowen Therapy is a gentle, hands-on physical therapy that signals your nervous system to shift into deep rest and repair. It helps release stored tension, rebalance muscle patterns, and support pain relief, digestion, sleep, and overall calm.
Is Bowen Therapy painful or invasive?
Not at all. Bowen is incredibly gentle and often deeply relaxing. It works with the body rather than against it, using soft touch, rest intervals, and targeted moves along muscle and connective tissue, for a relaxed healing method.
How do Skin Nutrition Plans work?
At Natology, we believe beautiful skin begins from within. These customized skin nutrition plans are created to support skin health through nutrient-dense guidance tailored to your unique needs, whether you’re struggling with acne, dullness, hyper-sensitivity, or overall skin vitality.
What kinds of concerns can naturopathic medicine help with?
We support a wide range of concerns, from hormone imbalances, fatigue, and stress, to digestive issues, anxiety, skin concerns, and more. If your body is calling for aligned, holistic care, we’re here to listen and treat it from the root cause for a true revitalization.
How do I know which service is right for me?
We offer a complimentary 15-minute meet & greet to ensure these services are in alignment with your needs. It’s the perfect opportunity to ask all your questions, share your story, and explore which path feels best for your journey.
Can I combine services, like naturopathic care and Bowen Therapy?
Absolutely. In fact, many of our clients benefit most from integrative care, where physical treatments, emotional wellness, and internal support work together to create long-lasting harmony and overall transformation.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Any recent lab work, a list of current supplements or medications, and an open mind. You’ll also receive an intake form ahead of time to help us prepare for your visit so that we can provide you with the best possible support.
How often will I need follow-up visits?
Every Natology client is unique. Follow-ups are tailored to your specific needs and skin journey goals. Some clients return monthly, while others space visits further apart. We’ll determine the right rhythm together during our first visit.
How is food intolerance testing done, and what can it tell me?
Our IgG food intolerance test screens for reactions to over 200 foods. Unlike food allergies (IgE), which cause immediate reactions, IgG intolerances are delayed and can contribute to chronic symptoms like bloating, fatigue, brain fog, skin issues, and even joint pain. The results from your lab test help guide a personalized elimination plan, so you can reduce inflammation, improve digestion, and support radiant skin from the inside out.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable biostimulant made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Rather than adding volume with gel, it stimulates your body to produce its own natural collagen. The result is organic, gradual, and long-lasting rejuvenation in alignment with your natural-born features.
How is Sculptra different from dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers offer immediate visible transformation by adding volume with hyaluronic acid injections. Sculptra, in contrast, rebuilds lost collagen gradually over time, offering longer-lasting results and a more natural look. Think of it as a slow reveal, refined, lifted, and all yours.
When will I see transformation?
Some swelling may give a temporary “preview” of your refreshed look, but true transformation typically appears slowly over 4-12 weeks as collagen develops naturally. Our clients can expect to see ongoing improvements for several months after their series of customized treatments.
How long does this treatment last?
This transformation can typically last up to 2 years with a full customized skin journey plan. Many of our clients return for maintenance sessions every 12-24 months to ensure their glow remains vibrant.
Is Sculptra safe?
Yes, Sculptra is both FDA- and Health Canada-approved and has been safely used for over 20 years. Side effects are rare and typically mild, such as swelling or small lumps that resolve with proper aftercare and massage. At Natology, we always provide you with detailed pre- and post-treatment guidance to keep your mind at ease and to ensure you feel supported during this process.
What areas can be treated with Sculptra?
Sculptra is ideal for:
• Cheeks
• Temples
• Jawline
• Nasolabial folds
• Marionette lines
• Lower face volume loss
It is not used for the lips or under the eye area.
How many treatments will I need?
Most of our clients require 2-3 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, depending on the amount of volume reduction achieved and your desired look. Our experts will recommend a personalized plan at your consultation, taking all details and desires into consideration for your skin journey.
Is there downtime after treatment?
Minimal downtime is typically expected with Natology clients. Most individuals return to their normal routines shortly after; however, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness for a few days post-treatment. We recommend following the 5-5-5 massage rule (5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days) as this will help with circulation as the treatment sets in.
Can I combine Sculptra with other treatments?
Yes! Sculptra pairs beautifully with our other treatments like Dysport®, microneedling, laser, or facials. It’s often part of a graceful aging plan that addresses both structure and surface.
