Fractora skin treatment is a fractional resurfacing treatment that remodels collagen to help restore skin to its youthful appearance.

What areas can be treated?

Fractora can be used on any area that can benefit from skin resurfacing. Face and body areas that exhibit aging skin, discoloration and acne scarring are suitable for treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on your Fractora treatment regime, you can expect to have between 1-6 sessions.

How quickly will I see results?

Visible results can be seen immediately, but typically after two weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.

What is the benefit of fractionated energy?

Fractionated RF energy found in Fractora is a scientifically proven method to remodel skin. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to resurface the skin, providing exceptional results with almost no patient downtime.

Can anyone use Fractora?

What is the benefit of radio frequency energy?

RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled way to revitalize the collagen. The treatment will improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.

Can this be used in combination with other treatments?

Fractora can be used in the same treatment session, or a few days after other treatments. Fractora can also be combined with additional InMode energy treatments or injectables to achieve a more extensive full face result.

What kind of post procedure care is required?

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. Makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

Will Dermaplaning make my hair grow back darker and/or thicker?

No, this is physiologically impossible. Hormones are responsible for hair growth. The soft, fine vellus hair will grow back slowly – usually in about 4 weeks and no different than it was previously.

How often can this procedure be done?

Dermaplaning can be done every 3-4 weeks. Treating the skin in this manner removes about 2 – 3 weeks’ worth of dead skin cells. You should leave enough time between treatments to allow the skin to complete its normal skin cycle of approximately 30-45 days before repeating.

If I want to add a peel, how do I know which one is right for me?

We’ll take care of making this decision for you based on your skin’s condition the day you arrive for your appointment. We have peels for all skin types/conditions and will discuss the best option for you!

Is Dermaplaning suitable for all skin types?

All skin types can benefit from Dermaplaning. It is particularly beneficial for clients suffering with fine lines & wrinkles, acne scarring, fine vellus facial hair (peach fuzz), uneven & rough skin, dull skin. It is important, however, to always discuss any allergies or skin sensitivities with your technician before starting a treatment

Is Dermaplaning painful?

No. The treatment is very comfortable and often feels similar to the sensation of shaving other areas of the body.

Pre- and Post-Injection Treatment Care

Pre-care

Three to five days prior:

Avoid all substances that may thin the blood and increase the chance of bruising
Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, and Alcohol
Avoid Natural substances: Gingko, Garlic, Vitamin E, Fish oil, St. John’s Wort, Flaxseed Oils, etc.

Let your practitioner know if you are on any prescribed anticoagulants (warfarin, coumadin). Never stop taking your prescribed medications before talking to a doctor.
Choose the right injector

Post-care

Immediately Post-Treatment:

DO continue facial exercises every 15 minutes, for the next 2 hours for Botox ®/Dysport® (not for other treatments).
DO keep the area clean until that injection points have healed (< 24hrs).
DO use Tylenol or Arnica and use ice to decrease swelling or bruising.
DO call with any questions or concerns.

Don’t

DON’T lay down for 4-6 hours.
DON’T do strenuous exercise for 24 hours (Including inversions like yoga or pilates).
DON’T touch the area where you were injected
DON’T use makeup.
DON’T use any agents that may thin the blood.

Normal expectations

Some swelling, bruising, and/or redness is normal. You may experience a sensation of stinging or tenderness at the site of injection, which may last for a few minutes to hours depending on how sensitive your skin is. Anything more than that, please call your injector.

Follow-up appointments

For Dermal Filler or Skinbooster treatments, swelling and bruising should last no longer than a few days. After 1 week, please come in for your follow-up appointment for small tweaks and after photos.

How do dermal fillers work?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a natural gel-like substance found in the skin that attracts water to provide your skin with hydration and plump. Most HA products are infused with lidocaine to minimize discomfort with treatment.

Where are dermal fillers used?

Treatments for:

Lips;
Cheeks, Nasolabial Folds (upper smile lines), and Marionette lines (lower smile lines);
Chin and Jawline; and/or
Temples, Infraorbital area (under eyes), and Forehead.

Who are dermal fillers suited for?

For people who:

Want to restore volume loss from aging, correct asymmetries, and/or add more balance to the face;
Are 18 years old or older & in good overall health; and
Are not pregnant or breastfeeding.

Those with medical conditions that cause lower immune response may be more prone to infection by a skin injection procedure and are not candidates.

What can I expect?

Treatments take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area. Results typically last between 4 to 12 months, depending on the person and the area injected.

Localized topical anaesthetic freezing is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. Downtime after treatment is 1 to 3 days with mild bruising and swelling. The practitioner will follow-up with a phone call within 24 hours of treatment.
